Santa Catarina Officially Opens Office in Shanghai During International Trade Fair in Asia
The Government of the State of Santa Catarina, through InvestSC, has officially opened its international office in Shanghai, China, on November 6, 2025.
The contract will be signed with Brazil Center Shanghai during the China International Import Expo (CIIE), one of the world's largest business fairs, which brings together companies, investors, and governments.
This act represents a decisive step of the State going international strategy and reinforces the commitment of the Administration to strengthen its trade ties with the Asian market.
According to InvestSC, the Shanghai office will act also as a partner for local companies and associations that intent to attend trade fairs, events, and commercial missions in China.
In addition, it will serve as support to connect suppliers, investors, and potential local partners, expanding business opportunities and the integration of production chains.
Being present in one of the world's largest economic centers will allow Santa Catarina to have direct access to investors, manufacturers, and business associations that can contribute to the development of strategic sectors in the State, such as technology, energy, mobility, and infrastructure.
The office will serve also as an institutional connecting point for business and government missions from Santa Catarina to China, and vice-versa.
For InvestSC CEO, Renato Lacerda, the this is an historic milestone for the State: “This office represents much more than a physical address. It will be the bridge that connects Santa Catarina to the world's largest market, offering direct support to our companies and opening new opportunities for investment, innovation, and technological cooperation in China and in our State”.
