Investing SC takes part in presentation on the State Government of Santa Catarina’s strategic vision to expand the State’s global presence.
On Wednesday, May 28, Investing SC (ISC) took part in a presentation by Paulo Bornhausen, the State Secretary for International Affairs of the Government of Santa Catarina, on the future of Santa Catarina’s internationalization. ISC was represented by members Jonas Krüger, Chairman of the Deliberative Council, and Cláudio Werner, Administrative Director.
The event, organized by the International Business Chapter of the Joinville Business Association (ACIJ), brought together representatives from various sectors of the economy and clearly highlighted the need for Santa Catarina to enhance its capacity to attract new investments.
Paulo Bornhausen shared that eight cities from Santa Catarina were included in the 2025 Global Startup Ecosystem Index, produced by StartupBlink, ranking among the most attractive in the world for startups. The state was second only to São Paulo, which had ten cities featured. It is worth noting that the ranking included only 28 cities in Brazil, nearly 40% of which are from Santa Catarina. The cities from the state that made the list are Florianópolis, Joinville, Blumenau, Rio do Sul, Criciúma, Itajaí, Chapecó, and Lages.
